"A typically original delight" Daily Mail

Every day, Square brings a block out of his cave and pushes it up a steep hill. This is his work. When Circle floats by, she declares Square a genius, a sculptor! Review quote

"This sequel to the award- winning author/illustrator team's equally offbeat Triangle is a typically original delight, full of minimalist images, dry humour and an undercurrent of philosophical debate." * The Daily Mail * "Barnett and Klassen are a perfect team to deliver a smart and funny book that manages to have sophisticated connotations about the creation, intention and reception of art, as well as reassuring children about their own artistic development." * BookTrust * "Inquisitive, witty and framed by peppermint-green and softy inky scribbles, awash with intelligence and depth, it's just lovely!" * Press Association * "A board book on the outside - albeit with a minimalist jacket and stylishly curved corners - open it up and Square is beguiling, simple and amusing. [...] Inquisitive, witty an framed by peppermint-green and soft inky scribbles, awash with intelligence and depth, it's just lovely." * Women's Way Ireland * "Expert wry humour and striking graphics" * The Bookseller *
