Spirit Water: Poems in the Key of Life
The title poem, SPIRIT WATER, is one I wrote while care-giving to a friend who would eventually die far too young from ovarian cancer. The title poem is also a dedication to my fallen friend's life, beauty, and courage. The remaining poems of the book, which are divided into four parts, chronicle my life's journey, as well as explore current events, past loves, challenges, and healing. The final section, "Reflections for a New Day," expresses my feelings towards a positive future full of love and hope. While the poems of the book reflect on my life and loves, I hope readers will be able to find their own life's reflection in my work. In all, everyone is reborn through life experience in some way. I hope, in reading my poetry, you will be moved to laugh a little, cry a little, and on your own journey. In the meantime, enjoy SPIRIT WATER and remember - every thing has a spirit...
