About Adrian Van Wyk

Adrian van Wyk was born and raised in the South African city of Bloemfontein in the Free State. His love for literature was developed at a very young age, when his mother would read poetry to him. There were always books in the home, and his parents encouraged him to read on a wide variety of subjects and genres. His love for reading translated into a love for writing. He attempted his first writing project when he was nine years old. Throughout his school years, he exercised his writing muscles on various poems, short stories and novels. Despite pursuing studies and a career in Information Technology, he kept the writing spirit alive by studying a degree in Languages and Literature. He obtained a BA: Languages and Literature (Creative Writing) Cum Laude from the University of South Africa in 2012. Through the years, he submitted novels and short stories for competitions. In 2014, he published an anthology of poems and short stories called Universe Weeping in e-book form on Amazon. He will always be a writer at heart. His love for the literary arts is evident, as is his dedication and sacrifice to the characters and the worlds that writers create.show more
