Not illustrated. 1905 edition. Excerpt: ...A number of working outlets are also to be placed where shown. These will all be controlled from two panel boards in locations called for. The Monitor. The monitor passage way will be lighted with incandescent lamps and have a few outlets on the working circuit. 15, Electric Galleries, And Office Galleries. In the electric galleries and offices, incandescent lamps are to be installed as called for on the plans, especial care being taken to see that lamps are located exactly in the right places around D. C. and A. C. switchboards, oil switches, etc. And the Contractor shall consult the Engineer finally on locations of these lamps just before placing the outlets, to make sure that no changes have been made in the plans. Also in placing the outlets for the lamps in the offices, the Contractor shall call upon the Engineer for the final layout of lamps before locating the outlets, as there will probably be changes. 16, Stair And Elevator Lights. On each landing of the stairs a one-light bracket is to be installed. Each elevator is to have a three-light ceiling fixture. These circuits will be controlled from the panel boards on the main floor nearest to the stairs and elevators upon which they are located. 17, Pier Lighting. For the lighting of the pier the Contractor is to allow about one hundred fifty (150) amperes. The lighting will be done with arc lamps principally, and incandescent lamps for individual pieces of machinery, etc. These lights will be controlled from two panel boards, the location of all of these to be shown on the plans. 18, Schedule.
