Excerpt: ...to be paid within sixty days, instead of ten dollars on each share, as provided in said act of incorporation, and the residue to be secured as therein provided. Sec. 4. Said corporation shall keep their office in the City of Norwich, and may make insurance on dwelling houses, or other' buildings, on ships and vessels of every dBS: riPli0n, While in port, or on the stocks, also on goods, chattels, wares and inercliandize, and other personal estate, of every name, nature and description, and shall be liable to make good, and pay to the several persons who shall be insured by the said corporation, for all losses they may sustain by fire, in their houses or other buildings, ships or vessels, goods, chattels, wares, merchandize, or other personal estate as aforesaid. See. 5. From and after passing this act, the business of said company shall be confined to insurance against losses by fie, and the fourth section of the act to which this is an addition, is hereby repealed.
