Review Text

While the claim, "Everything a speaker needs to make every speech a smash hit," is a bit broad, there is practical help here for the speaker who needs specific advice. Mr. Friedman discusses introductions, opening and closing remarks, offers employable anecdotes and thoughts on all manner of subjects. He tells the speaker to consider himself (his strengths and limitations), his purpose and his audience, suggests on planning and delivery, and word picture communication, covers the following subject areas: politics, government and world affairs; science, space, industry, and business; retirement, community life, and special occasions; sports, education, and youth; lodges and clubs; women, wives, and married life; religion and church; inspirational remarks and personal references; brotherhood, charity, and friendship. A public speaker's and toastmaster's workshop concludes the book...Stands up and talks right back to the Prochnow market. (Kirkus Reviews)
