During the influenza epidemic of 1918, additional strains obtained from virulent cases in different parts of the country were added. These strains include: Influenza Bacillus (pfeiffer). Streptococcus (hemolytic and viridans) Staphylococcus (aureus and albus) Pneumococcus (types I, 11, III, IV). Micrococcus catarrhalis.
