Including discussions of significant weather events from the past, such as river flooding events, snow storms, and tornado outbreaks, as well as visual aids such as maps and photos, Southern Appalachian Weather is fully comprehensive but written for the general public. While this book's focus is on the southern Appalachian region, the concepts covered here can also be applied to many other mountainous regions of the world.
