Description

Excerpt from The South African Mining Journal, Vol. 26: With Which Is Incorporated South African Mines, Commerce and Industries; August 4, 1917; Part II Special War Tax. Boxholes in the Western Section are put up at intervals of 60 feet and the values disclosed in these boxholes repre sent the value along 30 feet each side of such boxholes, this being the only satisfactory method of sampling the reef in this Section as far as linear development is concerned, owing to its great width. \vith reference to the note in the Quarterly Report, dated March 31, 1916, wherein it was stated that the preceding quarter's figures would be shown in future in each Quarterly Report, it has now been found advisable to revert to the custom of giving the current figures for the quarter. The above figures bring the work up to date, and in future figures for the current quarter only will be given.
