These are the last words uttered by 17-year-old Max Stein s best friend Evan just moments before he kills himself after hacking into the live-streaming presidential debate at their high school.

Haunted by the unforgettable image of Evan s death, Max s entire world is upended as he suddenly finds himself the target of a corporate-government witch hunt. Fearing for his life and fighting for his own innocence, Max goes on the run with no one to trust and too many unanswered questions.

Max must dust off his own hacking skills and maneuver through the dangerous labyrinth of underground hacktivist networks, ever-shifting alliances and virtual identities--all the while hoping to find the truth behind the Silence of Six before it s too late.

Our customer reviews

(I received an advance copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.) Check out my blog for more reviews.( What Is The Silence of Six? Well you will have to read this to find out now wont you. The Silence of Six is an amazing book that is very well written and moderately fast paced, I liked the characters and the whole mystery behind everything. But that all became clear during the course of this book. Now in a world where there is one massive social media site that everyone uses even more than Facebook and witter. This site Panjea/Pangea is the world foremost social hub, but it holds a lot of secrets. Now after a Hacker calling himself ST0P hijacks a presidential debate to warn people about the silence of six before committing suicide, his best friend Max is on the case to find out what he meant by it and how every things is connected and who is involved in this. This leads him to connect to a Hacktivist group Dramatis Personai in an attempt to solve this mystery and clear his name. With the FBI after him and his accomplices he sets out to solve the mystery of the silence of the six and expose the people behind it. As mentioned earlier i really loved this book and i enjoyed it immensely and kept on thinking about it while i wasn't reading it, I also got really paranoid about social media while reading this and it is a real eye opener because it could happen in real life and your information can be sold/given to the highest bidder, they can track you with your own phone, spy on you through your webcam and calculate your next move before you do just by observing you. I recommend this to any one that likes books involving technology, conspiracies and awesomeness and this deserves a place on my favourites shelf. 5 Starsshow more
