Shadows & Lines
An artist is driven by his obsession until it nearly ends his life and he finds love. As a boy Giorgio Crispini's father, a street artist in Milan, tells him often of his love for the famed painter Caravaggio. Crispi's father is killed in a knife assault so, while still a child, he, his baby brother and their mother move to Los Angeles. Crispini becomes obsessed by Caravaggio, confusing what he knows of the painter with his memories of his father, and shapes his life to the artist's reckless existence. He matures to become Crispi, a very successful but deeply troubled artist. Kirby, his attractive, talented studio assistant is attacked by his wayward brother who stabs Crispi, nearly costing him his life. During his recovery Crispi, who has always had Caravaggio as his confidant and advisor, finds himself in the middle of Caravaggio's most perilous moments.
