Immerse yourself in a time where the sophistication seemed effortless, but the thrifty ethos of make-do and mend was a necessity. French knickers made from a worn shirt, a hot water bottle cover made from old curtains - these re-cycled gems are sure to become treasured favourites. All the sewing know-how you need is fully explained and shown with clear step-by-step illustrations. Handy pull-out pattern sheets take the hassle out of cutting out and tuck neatly into the back of the book.
