Like my title says, it's not a bad read takes some time to warm up to the book, but meh... I rather watch her on the Ellen Show instead of reading the book. Just a thought. Still her fan though!show moreby Anchovy B.
Did I enjoy this book: I picked this book because I love Ellen Degeneres. She¢??s hilarious so I knew I¢??d love the book. Turns out, I was wrong; not about loving Ellen. That¢??s impossible. I was wrong about loving the book. If any other writer in the world sent this pointless, rambling collection of short stories to a publisher, it would land with a sickening thud in the trash heap. Her humor works so well live but is too disjointed and circumlocutory to hold my admittedly short attention span. I got a few chuckles out of the book but had to work so hard to finally get to them that I was too frustrated to enjoy it. You can watch her for free. If you work, set your DVR. She¢??s hysterical. But save your money on the book. For me, it just didn¢??t work. Would I recommend it: No. As reviewed by Belinda at Every Free Chance Book Reviews.show moreby Chrissy
