Description

A SENSIBLE DIMENSIONAL BUTTERFLY' is a collection of short stories and poetry I have written over the last 35 years. Much of the poetic material was written spontaneously, usually due to an incident in my life. The remainder i.e. short stories, are mainly products from when I was completing a Bachelor of Arts Communications degree at University of Newcastle NSW, Australia. As I was majoring in Creative Writing' I was required to put together a portfolio of written work. The remaining short stories are products of ideas that often spring to mind. I write quite diverse genres therefore the reader should be entertained and hopefully enjoy my little book of muse.show more

About Loraine St Clair

Words have always been 'my thing'. I grew up in a household where books abounded (in untidy piles, on dusty shelves and generally everywhere). I was encouraged to read books... what else do you do when your mother and father have a book underway and don't talk much when reading! My father bought me a new 'Golden Book' every Wednesday when he got paid. I too had mile high piles of books with dust coatings! At high school I excelled at English literature and grammar. I had diaries, note books, thought books, (the book you jot down something that comes into your mind anytime, anywhere) and this has always been the way for me. I was inspired to create 'The Hands of Pahl' after travelling Switzerland and Europe. Lord Byron's inscription on a pillar in the dungeon of Chateau de Chillon, Switzerland set me afire. 'BYRON' with 1816 underneath. Poetry flowed from me like a veritable river and nicely inspired while sitting on the shores of Lake Geneva. See www.handsofpahlstclair.com.show more
