Description

Excerpt from Secretary's First Report: Class of 1905 I submit to you our first Class Report, which contains, in statistical form, the history of our class while in college, together with other material closely related to our College life. The report also contains a list of the present addresses and occupa tions of the members of the class so far as they are known to the Secretary. This up-to-date record may in a way justify the delay in publishing a Report which otherwise might have been issued immediately after graduation. Class Reports have long served a useful purpose in compiling statistics about Harvard men, and they have also been one of the principal means of communication between members of a class. The value of data taken from these Reports must depend on the completeness of the statistics; and in order to have the statistics complete it is necessary that every member of the class should contribute the facts about himself. I am sorry to report that all the members have not responded to my request for such facts; and it is with regret, therefore, that I am obliged to print the Report with the records of some members omitted. I wish to thank those who have responded promptly and cheer fully to my request for information. To those who have been indifferent, I h0pe the value of this Report will sufficiently appeal to make them wish they had contributed actively to it. Let me urge upon you all to assist me hereafter in any way in keeping a full record of every man in the class.
