I bought this book for my Japanese grand daughter but her mother wanted one too! I am going to get one for her and me as wellThe pictures are beautiful and I can use them as ideas for embroidery. Simply beautiful! Lizshow moreby Elizabeth Pryor
This book is wonderful. The drawings are wonderful too. Mazes made of leaves, lots of flowers, insects, leaves and fantastic things to color. The paper is strong enough to pick up multiple layers of pencil color, as long as you don't use too sharp a point. Every drawing is a visual adventure, and the one big surprise I got when I received this book was: I could color the front of the book as well! The cover itself is another thing you can draw and put in a frame seperately. That is a very nice gift with this book. The fact that you can color the front.... It very quickly makes it your own book, in your own style, in your own colors. Even if you cannot draw, and do not want to spoil the book by trying to add the things the book asks for, it is still a very worthwhile and pretty book and it's not a disaster if you do not want to add anything of your own. (drawing wise) I've already found out that spaces where you are supposed to draw, can be filled in with pictures you love as well.... It's a very versatile book. Very happy with it. Can't stop coloring!show moreby Gwen
This is a beautiful book for colouring in. The artwork is fine, there is a lot of room for interpretation within it, it is not your standard colour in book at all. I'm planning on using gel tip pens in it, as the pages are very porous but they feel great to handle. I really love it.show moreby Megan Hakanson
This is a really lovely book. I used to spend hours colouring Doodle Art and this book is a lot like that, but with more interactivity. Here, as well as beautiful designs to colour, there is space to fill in with your own drawings (and suggestions for what to draw) which may well encourage young artists (and older ones, too). There are particular items to find within the illustration as well. The illustrations are detailed, interesting, and beautiful. It really captured my imagination. One thing: I recommend using colouring pencils as felt pens tend to show through on the other side of the page. I'll be buying this book again as a Christmas gift.show moreby Virginia Crawford
