Damien Major is an educator and poet from Detroit, Michigan. He is a father and husband whom uses his observations and education as tools to create poems that speak to multitudes of people. He has spent numerous years working with at risk youth in Detroit's juvenile detention centers and high schools. He is a graduate of Ashford University with a B.A. in social science and an M. A. in education. He has endured many hardships as well as seen many trials which are conveyed through his works.
