Jean Ingelow And Aberdeenshire (2nd S., III., 78).--The parish of Longside, in the district of Buchan, Aberdeenshire, contains a small village or hamlet named Kilmundy. According to Smith ("New History of Aberdeenshire," Part II., Aberdeen, 1875), there is a dwelling-house in the parish called "Nether Kinmundie or Kilmundy, the country seat of Alexander Gordon, whose father was parson of Rothiemay, and son of Robert Gordon of Pitlurg and Straloch, who published the maps of Scotland." W. S. 134. Sutherland Of Kinminity (2nd S., III., 78).--Might not some information on this subject be obtained from the "Collections for a History of the Shires of Aberdeen and Banff," 3 vols. (Spalding Club), or perhaps from Sir John Sinclair's " Statistical Account of Scotland," 1791-99, 21 vols., or the "New Statistical Account of Scotland," Vol. XIII., Edinburgh, 1845? Shaw's "History of the Province of Moray," Glasgow, 1882, 3 vols. (with which edition the "Survey of the Province of Moray: Historical, Geographical and Political" is incorporated) adds nothing to the information given by Mr. J. F. George in his query. W. 135.
