Description

Andre-Louis Moreau, born from unknown parents (at least to him), was educated as a lawyer and lives with his godfather. He vows to revenge the death of his best friend and revolutionist; Philippe de Vilmorin, who was provoked to an unbalanced duel and killed by the Marquis de La Tour d'Azyr. When the King's lieutenant in Brittany refuses him justice against a man of the Marquis' status, Andre delivers a convincing rhetoric using de Vilmorin's arguments. As France was at the brink of revolution against the tyranny of the upper class, he consequently became a wanted man. To hide from the King's and the Marquis' hunting men, Andre joins a troupe of travelling comedians where he becomes the famous "Scaramouche".
