Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The S30 is a regional railway line of the Z rich S-Bahn on the ZVV. It connects the cantons of Z rich and Thurgau, Switzerland, with some services extending to the canton of St. Gallen. The line runs from Winterthur, canton of Z rich, via Frauenfeld, canton of Thurgau, to Weinfelden, also in Thurgau. Some services also extend to Romanshorn, Thurgau, and Rorschach, in the canton of St. Gallen. Rail transport is a means of conveyance of passengers and goods by way of wheeled vehicles running on rail tracks. In contrast to road transport, where vehicles merely run on a prepared surface, rail vehicles are also directionally guided by the tracks on which they run. Track usually consists of steel rails installed on sleepers/ties and ballast, on which the rolling stock, usually fitted with metal wheels, moves.show more
