Favourite Quote: Diana knew it wouldn't be right, but then she told herself that things only looked wrong when there was someone to see you. I really enjoyed the first novel in this series 'The Luxe' so I was expecting great things from this book but I was disappointed. This book gets a 3/5 stars from me! The main reason this book was a let down is because of the plot, I found that it was too slow and nothing major happened for the majority of the novel. Only the last 50 pages or so had any real, exciting developments and there was twist that I would have never predicated! Like the first book, "Rumours" is told from different perspectives and I felt that each characters chapter was to short and that was a reason why the book was so slow. As for the actual characters, I felt there was no real development with the exception of Elizabeth who I actually grew to like. Lina or Caroline is still my least favourite character, she is just too na????â???¯ve. As for the other characters, Penelope is still the biggest bitch ever and everyone else was just boring. The only characters I was really interested in was Diana and Henry cause they are just awesome! I think they may be the only reason I liked this book! Overall it was not as good as the first book but good enough that I will be continuing on with the series!show moreby brookexx
