Sometimes the wrong choice can be just right . . . Fun and fearless, Cora Lewis knows how to keep her tattooed "bad boy" friends at the Marked in line. But beneath all that flash and sass is a broken heart. Cora won't let herself get burned again. She's waiting to fall in love with the perfect man--a baggage-free, drama-free guy ready for commitment. Then she meets Rome Archer. Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He's stubborn, rigid, and bossy. And he's returned from his final tour of duty more than a little broken. Rome's used to filling many roles: big brother, doting son, supersoldier--but none of those fit anymore. Now he's just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the dark demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer through it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes a blinding flash of color in a sea of gray.Perfect may not be in the cards, but perfectly imperfect could just last forever . . .show more

Favourite Quote: “People die everyday that shouldn’t die. It isn’t fair and it isn’t right. There should be some kind of rhyme or reason for it.” After being let down by the previous book in this series, Jet, I was apprehensive about going into this one. However I’m happy to say I liked this one a lot more! I give this book a 4/5 stars! First off, let me just say I love Rome! He’s just so manly and loyal and strong and the list is endless! Of course he has a lot of issues because of the war and stuff but overall all the good stuff outweighs the bad! I think he might even be my favourite guy out of this series so far! Then there’s Cora who I really liked in the previous two books and I liked her in this one too! She was funny, little bit crazy, full of live and so on. The only thing that annoyed me about her was the whole situation with her ex, I didn’t understand why she still had a massive obsession with him or her reservations when it came to love and that’s the reason I took a star off cause seriously it annoyed me to no end! As for the relationship between the two I just loved it! There was no insta-love or anything, it was a nice steady paced relationship and they are the opposites of each other but that just works for them! As for the other side characters, loved seeing them all again and I’m looking forward to Nash’s story! As for the plot, the romance was definitely at the centre but there were other interesting plot lines like Rome’s PTSD which I thought was done pretty well! Other issues had to do with family and ex boyfriends, which were okay plotlines! Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend this series to contemporary or NA fans! Cannot wait to read the next book!show more
