Four years passed since the battle of the Prison of Light. The men of the dark lands endure meagre existence, while others in their protected utopia prosper. When Dr. Mary Wilson and the Prince of Shadows start having the same terrible nightmares, the Goddess Neith labours to discover their meaning. But her actions unwittingly release an ancient protector, one she may not be powerful enough to defeat alone. Mary must rely on her skill as an archaeologist, as both sides work together to discover the location of the hidden Tomb of Horus. Within, they must unlock the secret Songs of the Osirian, and convince the Jackal King to awake from his eternal slumber. ...Foreword by Michael Jan FriedmanNew York Times bestselling author

About Christopher D Abbott
Christopher D. Abbott is a Reader's Favorite award winning author. He has a background in human behavioural studies and psychology. Having worked in IT, communications, safety and health, and sales, he gained a good understanding of people and their behaviours. Abbott is a self-confessed avid reader of fantasy, science-fiction, and crime fiction, and he took creative writing courses, which fuelled his ambition to publish a character driven crime story. He loves quirky characters such as Rodney David Wingfield's Inspector "Jack" Frost, Agatha Christie's Poirot, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. The Idea of Dr Pieter Straay, his Dutch Criminal Psychologist, came about by integrating the qualities he admires best in these characters. [Mystery - Detective] Sir Laurence Dies (Book 1: The Dies Series) won the Bronze Award in the "Reader's Favorite 2014 Book Awards" for the Mystery - Sleuth category. Dr. Chandrix Dies (Book 2: The Dies Series) takes place a few years before book 1. [Horror] Revolting Tales - co-Authored with Todd A Curry, is a selection of dark horror stories, not for the weak of heart, or children! [Fantasy] Songs of Beast (Beast: Genesis - Media Bitch Literary Agency and Publications) Songs of the Osirian (Foreword by Chase Masterson, best known for her role as Leeta in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine). Rise of the Jackal King: Book 2 of the Songs of the Osirian (Foreword by Michael Jan Friedman, New York Times bestselling author). Abbott currently live in Connecticut USA.
