At that burning bar every one of us must give an account of himself to God. Fellow-sinner, what though you are nowreckless and hard-hearted; what, though you now cast ofl' fear and restrain prayer; though you float on every stream of pleasure, and silence all the remonstrances of conscience; though you despise a father s prayers and a mother s tears; though you turn your back upon Christ, and grieve the Holy Spirit from your breast; though you will not think of death and of a future judgment-seat--you are, nevertheless, rapidly hastening on to the inflexible bar of an incensed God.
