Description

Reverse Motion is a composition of fragments of return from memory and of leaps in flight from the present towards an unfathomable future. A composition of instants gathered together, of snapshots drawn from real personal lived experiences: faces beloved and interested, materials depicted with their significance instantaneously fixed, portrayals of faces ever present and immortalised by the light of memory, which also holds and restores the nuances of the past, natural realities revisited by an interpretation continuously on the search for a particular texture which captures the eye. Memory leaps and projects itself in flight towards a near future profoundly rooted to and in the perception of the everyday. There is a route composed of dashes forward and returns, which leads onto the mountainous peaks of pure crystalline inquiry from the semidiurnal landscapes of the most intense memories. A pathway in discovery: all the passages or stages of human life are portrayed, ever contemporaneous and humming in the chords of the Artist, depictions drawn from the innocent eyes of a child, from the youthful and intimate generosity of a woman, from the formal seeking of childlike genius. Daniele Duca was born in Ancona in 1967 and works as a copywriter, professional photographer and journalist. He has exhibited in various place in Italy including at the University of Camerino, Ferrara, Venice. He was invited to Los Angeles and New York by the Italian Cultural Institute to present an itinerant exhibition. In 2003 he came first in the 22nd 'Biennale Internazionale dell'Umorismo' in 'Comunicazione di Tolentino' (International Biennal Humor-in-Communication Contest in Tolentino), in the poster and printing section. In 2008 Alinari published 'Extension', his first monograph.show more
