Our customer reviews

A subtle mix of auto biography, spiritual insights and holistic counselling. It starts as a personal journey reacting to events that no child should ever experience, how these events affect us even into adulthood, and then builds to a explanation on the meaning of how these journeys can heal. She shows how her own experiences help her to gain insight and spiritual humility which she uses in her counselling practice. The first arc of the book paints a history of the author's life up until a turning point, where she discovers her own dark past and begins the process to heal. She looks at the effects of trauma on those around us, those who rely on us, and those we rely upon in turn. A complex and difficult dynamic at any time, but the author delicately and without judgement, shows how we all build our walls and hide our faults/shame in different ways. She uses her new found insight of 'Loves Breath' and 'Radical Inquiry' to prevent other peoples projections of these inner fears from causing her a reaction. The author does not glorify the darkness to sell books, instead shines a light on how we can heal and how this has opened doors to spirituality and holistic healing for herself and her clients. Later in novel it adds references to delve deeper into spirituality and looks at the understanding of spirituality in healing and illness. Examples of time with clients and time healing herself really show how these techniques can be effective. A joy to read, and makes you think. Highly more
