THE NORTH CAROLINA LAW REVIEW The North Carolina Law Review was established by the School of Law of the University of North Carolina in the spring of 1922. The first number appeared in June. It represents an attempt to publish critical discussions by law students, law teachers, practicing attorneys, and judges, of problems of law of interest to the North Carolina Bar. The bulk of the material deals with the significance of important current decisions of the Supreme Court of North Carolina, of the Federal courts sitting in this State, and of the Supreme Court of the United States. Particular attention is paid to North Carolina legislation and to the influence of social, economic and political conditions upon the development of law in this state. This is the first journal of its kind to be published in the Carolinas, and, with the exception of the Virgin-ia Law Review, is the only one in the South.
