The interest, which has been awakened by the progress of the four blind and deaf children under instruction, has brought new applications for the admission of others similarly afflicted, which we have been obliged to refuse for lack of accommodations. Experience and thoughtful consideration deepen the conviction that such children should not be taught apart from others, and subjected to interruptions which the visits and special attentions of friends and an interested public inevitably produce; but that they should be placed in the regular classes, and their education conform in all respects with that of the other pupils of the school.
