Description

Where does the urban family fit in the grand scheme of the emerging American revolution? They are caught in the cross-fires of economic, social, political, educational and religious wars; while standing on the brink of despair due to neighborhood crime, domestic violence, drug abuse and trafficking, overwhelming outbreaks of mental illness, an epidemic of multiple STDs, diminishing parental rights, systemic racism, and an endless list of politically-correct agendas that are buried within current human service programs. Drs. Chris and Carol Green present prophetic strategies and practical steps to rebuild, restore and renew our hearts and homes in spite of the challenges of these evil and perilous times.show more

About Christopher G Green

Drs. Christopher and Carol Green are urban family advocates, marriage and family advisers, global leadership consultants, certified master life coaches, and licensed/ ordained ministers. This couple created and implemented a successful, new-generation, multi-faceted urban-community coaching model that empowers people to rebuild, restore and renew their hearts and homes. Through a series of initiatives, outreaches and programs they established a network of community spiritual care services that have included coaching in an unemployment center and a women's shelter; and consulting with other local organizations and outreach teams. For a combined 27 years, they served in pastoral leadership in the cities of St. Louis, Missouri and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania before launching out to begin coaching in one of the Pennsylvania state capitol's roughest neighborhoods. Chris also serves on the executive board of Metro Associates, Incorporated, an urban community outreach organization based in St. Louis, Missouri. As MAI's program director of media, from 1989-2004, he helped coordinate annual community outreach events, produced an award winning cable TV broadcast, established two music publishing companies, producing several music projects. They are both accomplished songwriters, having penned and produced over 150 songs since 1992. Having been highly honored and acknowledged for three-decades of urban community service and innovations, they are also international columnists/writers with a Global Journalist Award-winning social media news team, and they are Goodwill Ambassadors of World Peace, commissioned by The Golden Rule International. Their travels have taken them from coast to coast in the United States and to various nations around the world. They have been married since January 3, 1981 and have three adult sons, two daughters-in-law, one granddaughter, and a host of people throughout the world who call them 'mom and dad'.show more
