Rcode : Breaking the Silence on Male on Male Rape
The thought of male on male rape for many is a reality they would rather not let you know about ever. Their silence and secrecy is heavily guarded while wrapped and hidden in plain sight through addictions, troubled relationships, sexual confusion and even sexual assault. What many never accept is that being raped by another man was never their fault! What would society say to a man who has suffered rape at the hands of another man? For starters, men are seen as protectors and as one father I know told his son, "Men don't get raped." But they do! Anyone can become a victim at any time in life. It is the misconception that "Men don't get raped" that men carry deep inside, along with the sexual trauma of being taken by another man, which is a discussion that is long overdue. Besides the physical pain they feel from the assault, they also feel ashamed because they did nothing to stop it other than freeze and not move. The truth is; men who are raped were not expecting such a horrific thing to happen to them no different from it happening to women or children, but the society expects a male to be able to stop it and when they don't; they become haunted by their own sexuality. The only way to stop the continuation of male on male rape is to break the silence that has trapped its victims for too long. Once it is done, I assure you that the healing process is not far away.
