Description

Chesapeake and Ohio Railway and Norfolk and Western Railway were two Class 1 railroads that had operations in Michigan. C&O had trackage throughout the State before it started selling its Michigan branch and secondary lines in the 1980's. N&W only had one line in Michigan but it was a busy one as it came into Detroit. Both of these railroads had carferry operations in Michigan and significant operations in Canada, which are also covered in this book of color and black and white photographs taken by the author.show more
