No Spoilers:- A brilliant end to a really good trilogy which tied up any loose ends so to speak and had me hooked from start to finish. A few sad parts in this ending which I won't give away but that were most definitely not cake (sorry I love that saying from the books) and a lot more discovery about Ali's past and how her slayer abilities have been passed down through the family. I don't think I am ruining anything or spoiling anything by saying that the book gets off to an explosive start with Anima straight away launching individual attacks on the slayers and them becoming split up from each other and so the first couple of chapters see's Ali and the rest of the slayers frantically looking to find each other and check for survivors. It would seem and does become apparent that Anima are through playing nice and want the slayers gone as they are interrupting and messing with their grand plans to somehow heal the zombies and eventually restore the lives that have been taken. Ali is becoming more powerful with her slayer abilities throughout the series and discovers a few hidden and gifted gems along the way. Cole and Ali are definitely an item after all of the messing around and cheating by him in book two and yes I deem it cheating even if they had officially broken up. Thankfully Zombie Alice seems to definitely be a thing of the past and Ali is on full if physically frustrated that her relationship with Cole hasn't gone to the next level strength. So who will survive Anima's relentless attacks and will the whole gang make it? Can Ali, Cole and the rest of the slayers stop Anima finally once and for all? Ahem will Ali get her wish and will Cole finally relent and let their relationship get to the next level? What new powers does Ali have and where from and what significance does this have to her past? Is there a cure for Zombieness? All these are definitely answered in this book as Gena does tie up all the loose ends so read on and be surprised at some of the answers.................. I really enjoyed this final installment in the series which I have managed to read prior to the book release as I have received an ARC from Harlequin. There were a few parts where Ali basically annoyed me but to be honest there were parts in the other two books where I felt the same and thankfully these parts were short and far between. Cole as usual I loved and I have decided to let him off with being stupid in the second book as he more than makes up for his past transgressions in this book. There are a few new characters with the introduction of a new band of slayers and it would have been nice to have had River's character delved into a bit more so maybe a side line of stories from Gena? There is one character who I think is left in limbo land at the end of the book and I feel very sorry for them and it would have been nice for them to have either been given a happy ending or there to have been some inclination that they will get one and when you read the book you will know who I mean so maybe another side storyline to be developed there? If you are a fan of Gena or YA fiction then give this series a go but I would definitely advise reading from the beginning as otherwise the story will not make sense at all. A really good trilogy which starts off slow in the first book but definitely picks up steam and momentum in the next two and well worth a more
