Not illustrated. 1918 edition. Excerpt: ...Houghton. From some of the counties, two or more pens of pullets have been accepted. A pen is constituted by five, 1920 hatched pullets. They will be officially trapped and fed upon rations that are to be found upon the average farm. They will be housed under farm conditions, and cared for in like manner. The rations used are herewith included. Grain Ration. Equal parts of corn and wheat or a good commercial scratch feed. Two oz. scratch feed and two oz. mash are allowed each pullet per day. One cubic inch of sprouted oats is fed daily to each pullet. All the skim milk (sour) that the pullets will drink, is given them daily. LIST OF AVAILABLE BULLETINS.
