This is the story of Poland's most famous fighter aircraft. It represented one of the key stages of transition between the biplane and the monoplane. At the time of the German invasion in 1939, twelve Polish fighter squadrons were equipped with P-11c aircraft. The 114 that were eventually lost had shot down 120 enemy planes. The book is profusely illustrated by 1/48 scale plans, 52 specially commissioned colour profiles showing colours, camouflage and markings, 90 historical b+w photographs from the archives, and 82 walk-around colour photographs of preserved examples.
