And if there are such things as peace, and happiness, and calm, and rest, and repose of spirit, to be found in this perplexing and troublesome world, they belong to those who live near their Saviour's Cross, and most of all to those who live nearest to it, --to those who are much conversant with its glorious mystery, who carry about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, who experience at least in some degree the aspiration of the Apostle, and desire to "know Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death."
