That, during the pendency of the preparation of such programme for the pooling or division of the business, the companies herein represented will maintain and enforce such rates as may, from time to time, be established for the transportation of traffic over their roads, and between any given points. 3. That the Executive Committee of the Trunk Lines, together with a representative of the Vermont Central Company, prepare an agreement for the pooling or division of such traffic to the several seaboard cities, and by each of said Trunk Lines to each city, with all the details for the government of the same. 4. That, at the same time, the Western Executive Committee prepare an agreement for the pooling or division of traffic from the several Western common points, the maintenance of rates, up to each of the Trunk Lines. 5. That when the said committees have prepared the details of said pool, they meet together and adjust the same to each other, and put the same in effect, or call a general meeting of railways interested, if they deem the latter desirable. 6. That said committees employ such assistance as they may deem necessary to aid them in devising, preparing and enforcing such agreements. The resolution was unanimously adopted. On motion, it was agreed, that rates on 4th class, not including grain or flour, be advanced to 35 cents, Chicago to New York, taking effect September 2.
