Excerpt from Proceedings of the National Railroad Convention at St. Louis, Mo., November 23 and 24, 1875: In Regard to the Construction of the Texas and Pacific Railway as a Southern Trans-Continental Line, From the Mississippi Valley to the Pacific Ocean on the Thirty-Second Parallel of Latitude Resolved, That a National Railroad Convention be held in St. Louis on the 23d day of November next for the purpose indicated in the call for this meeting, and that the Chairman appoint an Executive Committee of fifteen, who shall have power to appoint sub-committees to carry out the objects of this meeting. The Chairman appointed the following gentlemen on the Executive Committee, called for in the above resolution.
