I believe that with our increased prosperity, our charities should he fostered to a greater extent. The total amount sent from the Lodges of the Eighteenth District to the above-named Fund is $322.50. On August 6, 1903, R.'. W.'. Cnanm-: s Sxrrrr, acting as Grand Master, laid the corner-stone of the new Masonic building of Evergreen Lodge, No. 363, at Springfield Centre, on which occasion I had the honor of acting as Deputy Grand Master. There was an immense gathering of Masons from this and other Districts. and the great interest shown in the impressive ceremonies will long be remembered by those present, and especially the address delivered by R.'. and Right Rev. HEXBY C. POTTER, Bishop of New York, who also acted as Grand Chaplain. The statistical information required by Sub-division 5 of Section 37, of the Book of Constitutions, has been forwarded to M.'. ."'. Elmtaun M. L. E1-ILERB, Grand Secretary. In closing, it is with pleasure that I report that peace, prosperity and brotherly love prevail throughout the Eighteenth District.
