One of the best signs of the times educationally is the constantly increasing interest in child-study. The schoolroom of the future is to be a laboratory of research; the child is to develop power by expend ing energy investigating his enlarged and enriched environment; and the teacher is to investigate the investigating child. Thus, and thus only, can be built up a true psychology of childhood; and upon such a basis only can pedagogic science find sure foundation.
