Mr. Edward H. Dickson moved that the sum of $100 be levied and assessed against the taxable property of the Arena Fire District. Motion carried. ' Mr. Chas. Dixon moved that the sum of $18.99 be levied and assessed against the taxable property of the South Kortright Fire District in the town of Stamford. Motion carried. 2 ' A communication and petition from the New York Telephone Company asking for a refund of certain taxes on excessive valuations of special franchises was read by the clerk and referred to the Law Committee.
