Excerpt: ...in conformity with the l statute, herewith present their annual report: We have granted during the last yea1, and since the date of the last report, nineteen tavern or hotel licenses, for which we have received an aggregate duty of eight hundred and sixty dollars ($860,00) and eleven store licenses for which we have received an aggregate duty of four hundred and ten dollars. We have also received 'for fines and commntations for violations of the Excise law the following sums, to wit: The following named persons have received from us tavern or hotel licenses during the year, and have paid duties for the same, the sums set opposite their names, to wit: Horn. LICENSES. I To run H n, rma BOARD or Snrnnvlsons or C n COUNTY: Your committee, appointed by resolution of the Board of Supervisors of Cortland County, passed December 12th, 1865, for the purpose of completing the unfinished business relating to bounty matters, would respectfully Report: That since the date of the last report, the committee have been to Albany twice for the purpose of securing payment for recruits on excess of years' service credited to the several towns in the County, and that they succeeded in procuring reimbursement for one years' excess, ($200) for the town of Scott, and three years' excess, ($600) for the town of Homer. In the last report, it was stated, "in consequence of an error in crediting recruits, the town of Cuyler now has an unsettled claim on the State for twenty-four years' service furnished in excess of quota, on call of July 18th, 1864, amounting to the sum of $4,800."
