Resolution of Board of Aldermen to place fire telegraph in house of Engine Company No. 25, with veto message of his Honor the Mayor. (By Board of Aldermen adopted, notwithstanding the objections of his Honor the Mayor.) Which was concurred in by the following vote: AFFIRlIATIVE--C0uuCil1nen Barney, Hayes, Healy, Desmond, Ryan, Gross, Repper, Webster, Miller, Hazleton, Ross, Stevenson, Babcock, Snyder, Brice, and Long--16. Report of Committee on Sewers of Board of Aldermen, with resolution, that a basin and culvert be built on the south-west corner of Congress and West Houston streets, under the direction of the Croton Aqueduct Department, and the accompanyiiig ordinance therefor adopted'. Which was concurred in by the following vote: AFFIRMATIVE--Councilmen Hogan, Barney, Hayes, Healy, Desmond, Ryan, Gross, 'Repper, Webster, Miller, Hazleton, Gedney, Keech, Lent, Ross, .Stevenson, Babcock, Snyder, Brice, and Long--20. Report of Committee on Markets of Board of Aldermen, with resolution, that the Street C01'nmissioner be directed to cause a new roof to be' placed on the country market at J efferson Market, and that he cause such other repairs to be made to said market as, in his judgment, may be necessary; the work, should it exceed in. amount the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars, to be done by contract. Wl'1ich was referred to Committee on Repairs and Supplies. On motion, the Board' then adjourned.
