Excerpt: ...and Eighteenth street, between Second and' Third avenues, Nos. 215, 217 and 219, be fenced in, under the direction of the Commissioner of Public Works; and that the accompanying ordinance therefor be adopted. 1. Which was laid over. Resolved, That the resolution and ordinance providing for regulating, grading, curbing, guttering and flagging N inety-third street, between the Third and Fourth avenues, passed by the Common Council, and approved by the Mayor, February 10, 1873, be and the same is hereby rescinded and repealed, as the work has already been done. Resolved, That the block bounded by Fifty-sixth and Fifty-seventh streets, Broadway and Eighth avenue, be fenced in, where not already done, under the direction of the Commissioner of'Public Works; and that the accompanying ordinance therefor be adopted. Which was laid over. By Assistant Alderman-Clancy--Resolved, That the Clerk be directed to have indexed, 'in a book for this special purpose, all documents now in the possession of the.several committees of this Board, Which was lost by the following vote: AFFIRMA'FIVE--ASSiStaHt Aldermen Foley, Clancy, r Healy, Theiss, Keenan, Brucks, Kelly, Cumisky, and Sommers--9. NEGATIVE----Assistant Aldermen Murphy, Keating Wisser, Thornell, Codington, the President, Assistant Aldermen Kehoe, Simonson, Linden, and Beyea--10. MOTIONS. Assistant Alde1-man'Simonson moved that the Committee on Public Works be discharged from further consideration of resolution, as follows: Resolved, That permission be and the same is hereby given to Edward Ryan to erect and maintain a wateringtrough in front of his premises, No. 508 West Fortythird street, the work to be done under the direction of the Commissioner of Public Works, such permission to remain...show more
