Not illustrated. 1920 edition. Excerpt: ...year ending June 30, 1914. This is truly a glorious record and I have endeavored to the best of my ability and opportunities to promote the welfare and the interests of the Grand Army of the Republic. The reports show that very few Posts in the Department are suffering from the effects of internal dissensions. I appreciate the fact that such a state of affairs in any organization seriously interferes with its welfare, and takes away opportunities for good work. The Inspectors in all oases of this character have given special attention and they report gratifying success in correcting the evil wherever they found it to exist. Post books of record files of orders from National and Department Headquarters are with but few exceptions, reported by the' Assistant Inspectors as well kept, neat and satisfactory. In closing I feel that I have endeavored to do my duty in all that could add to the interest and efliciency of the Department and I shall ever remember the honor that has been mine and the many comrades who have kindly assisted me in the performance of my duties to yourself as Assistant Adjutant General and Assistant Quartermaster, General Christian F. Gramlich, and the Assistant Inspectors-at-large and their assistants and to comrade John N. Reber, Headquarter Clerk I return my thanks for the assistance and encouragement given me. To the Department Commander, I express my grateful thanks for my appointment to the oflice of Department Inspector, whose duties I hope I have performed to his personal satisfaction. Fraternally Yours, WILLIAM H. GREEN, Department Inspector. ANNUAL REPORT OF 2 2 2 5 5 5 2 1 2 2 5 8 E 9 5 2 2 ' 2 5 m.-s E E" 2 5 2 E 2 2 5 "' "'5 E'-u 5 2 a l M 3 I... = Q 8 9...show more
