Excerpt: ...Legislature will not be doing its full duty to the people of our State if it fails to make this act a law, the ravages of the Great White Plague being so great that it has become our Country's most serious health menace and threatens the very foundation of our social structure; be it Resolved, That this Convention of the Idaho State Federation of Labor endorse the proposed legislation recommended by the Idaho Anti-Tuberculosis Association and pledge the assistance of the Idaho State Federation of Labor for the passage of this bill; and, be it further Resolved, That we heartily commend the noble work being done by the Idaho Anti-Tuberculosis Association; and. be it further Resolved, That this Convention instruct its delegates to take this question up with their local Unions and City Central Bodies in the different parts of the State when they return from this Convention and ask them to petition their Representatives in the State Legislature in the interest of this much needed legislation. The special committee on the Twin Falls Central Labor Union reported that the records did not show the C. L. U. as affihated during 1918, although a donation through A. VV. Muir was made by that organization. The special committee on the U. S. Employment Service filed the following report: "We, your Special Committee on Employment, wish to report that we met with Mr. M. J. Kerr in his ofiice, and we feel satisfied as to his sentiments expressed to this committee to be in harmony with the principles for which this body stands and we recommend that this Convention go on record as giving our support to Federal State Director M.
