The Principle of Magpies and Other Poems
Many of the poems in this collection have been written in response to other art forms, especially paintings. In his poetry, the author seeks to find appropriate words in which to describe an object or idea, rather than try and capture it in pencil, paint or photographs. Transient images, emotions and moods can thus be given something approaching permanance.
