About Billie Lou Damon

The author, Billie Lou Damon, holds a Master's Degree in Education and was an elementary teacher in Maine for Children with Exceptionalities for more than 25 years, focusing on reading and writing. Mrs. Damon is currently employed at a local public library absorbing the duties of a children's librarian, thus her knowledge of what books young children love to look at and listen to . . . over and over again. She resides in Western Maine with her husband and favorite cat, Gracie. This is her first book. The illustrator, Stephanie Fowler, has training and experience in watercolor painting and preschool care.
