The author is well known both for his fiction and for his earlier books on aspects of communication. This new title is subtitled The Ultimate Guide to Effective Personal Communications. It covers everything from basic communications skills to body language, and deals with specific communication situations including interview skills, public speaking, negotiating, networking, running meetings - all with an emphasis on influencing others. By dealing with so much it fails to justify its subtitle, but what is said is interesting, practical and would be useful before or after reading separate books on some of the individual topics.
