In this moving memoir of growing up and growing in faith, author Shameka Nicole shares how God used a childhood filled with loneliness, alienation, and health problems to push her beyond her own understanding of life-and set her on his path. As a young girl, Shameka believed that her life would unfold like a fairy tale, delivering everything her heart desired. But reality turned out to be quite different than her dreams, eventually leaving Shameka with devastating health problems, a failed marriage, and a young son. But throughout the hardships, disappointments, and months of physical, emotional, and mental suffering, God taught Shameka that even though the world might not value, respect, or love her, he does-and that he sees her as his precious daughter. Whether you have lived a life of faith or are simply questioning God's presence in the midst of your turmoil and pain, "Precious Life" will speak to your heart and remind you that God's love for his children is the one constant we can count on in more
