You and I have never trodden together the same Halls of Science, nor travelled arm in arm along the same walks of Literature. We have not, in times bygone, been seated side by side within the same academic walls, or graduated from the same theological seminary. Hence I can not dwell upon those reminiscences of the past, usually expected of One about to extend the hand of fellowship to a brother clergyman.
